Germany in WWI was no more guilty of starting that war than any of the other participants. In fact if blame can be fixed Austria-Hungary is probably most culpable, but their empire was pretty much destroyed & germany with its deeper pockets was left.
The unintended consequences of their treatment afterwards is well known.

I wonder why everybody always talks about Germany but never mentions Prussia. I mean, how many states get formally dissolved after a war. If there had been no Prussia, there would have been no world wars.
