Sounds like the northern lights we see in Minnesota, but you’re not, well....north. Strange.

Has anyone called their local Planetarium, if they have one in the general area? I had an opportunity to see something in the sky that remained in place for an half-hour. I called the Planetarium in Chicago, and they were very helpful with what it was NOT, i.e. planet, etc. They told me to call back if the sighting continued to remain in the sky. They are a source of info, and unlike the local airport, they will tell it to you straight, at least from my experience.
