That trail Segue was stupid looking. People riding any of them generally look ridiculous.
Four wheels are better
A dirt bike or mountain bike would have the right tool for the job.

RIP, but THIS was an embarrassing way to go!

Like automobiles, roller-skates, and bicycles, the Segway goes where you point it. It doesn’t do the navigation or the attention to road safety and suitability. The driver is responsible as always for these.
From the details I see, an unfortunate accident but not particularly funny nor ironic. Just one of those things.
