A public school isn’t anyone’s private property. I guess people should just feel free to walk into a classroom unannounced and interrupt it with anything that happens to pop into their mind. What excuse did the farmerette have for being rude?

LOL..I don’t think this lady thought the school was “her private property”. And the article said it was noon and that another teacher took her to the classroom.

I believe she was trying to be helpful to a kid or two that didn’t have animals. FREE animals..especially the Dexter cattle they have, is nothing to sneeze at.

I am also sure that she didn’t realize that she couldn’t or shouldn’t walk into school and make such an offer. The article says that they don’t have kids. She’s gray haired, which leads me to believe that its been a while since she was in a school, let alone know that she wasn’t supposed to “walk in”.

Was the “farmerette” rude? It looked like she asked for directions and was escorted to the classroom. Who knows? There might have been much more to the story than what was written. But when teachers are with their students, yes, they do have a responsibility to act like gracious adults. It sets a good example.
