Since “Bumpgate”, I have instructed, and assured, that no one I know buys Nvidia again.
Even their current crop of chips is grossly overrated and requires extraordinary amounts of power.
I had one of the bad chips. It almost wasn’t covered under warranty.

Yup I have gone back to an ATI for my newest card, a Radeon HD 5850, after many generations of Nvidia. However I have never been a fanboy for either brand so more power to competition and I look forward to better cards to come whoever may build them.
