Given Britain’s methodology during the Boer wars, there realy isn’t anything here out of character.
The Boer deaths were due to appallingly bad running of the camps, not deliberate murder. In fact there was a huge public outcry when the full horror became known, and hundreds of doctors, nurses and staff were sent immediately to take over the camps. And deaths plummeted.
The Boer deaths were almost all women and children. And the Boers died because their refusal to breed/marry outside the Boer people means that they were more suspetible to certain diseases than other Europeans in SA. Literally, to some they had NO immunity.
