None of those open DNS numbers worked. When I tried using them, I couldn’t connect at all.

Used to have a router but a tech guy came out and unhooked it but never changed any settings to the PC.

Could that be the problem? Router unplugged/unhooked but old settings still present on PC?

If so, do you know where I can look to clear those out?

Thanks again for the tips/suggestions.

Start, settings, Control panel, Network connections,
double click on network connections
click on support tab in local area connection status.

Click on repair.
What is your gateway setting?
