Estes Park is beautiful. I was there in 99 so I’m not sure how much it’s changed but if it’s the same you can’t go wrong. Are you going to be close to that area? You should hit some good pricing because it’s ‘off peak’ now.

The campground is pretty cool at the national park. I think that was the one that deer came into our campsite.
Plan to take a few days to get really aclimated to the altitude.

Are you camping, or staying in hotels/lodges?
The town of Estes Park is near Rocky Mountain National Park, and it has several hotels, as well as a village of shops and restaurants.

I agree with Estes Park. It is beautiful and there are all kinds of cabins right by the park along a river. You can also rent houses there. search vrbo(vacation rental by owner) and estes park and it will have several houses to rent.

Estes Park is kinda touristy. There is a bed and breakfast in Drake that is in the a building with some history. The restaurant with it has large log design interior. The little Thompson river is across the highway and the Little Thompson is behind the Bed and breakfast. There are all your standard Motels some of them overlook Lake Estes. There are several campgrounds in Rocky Mountain National Park and a bunch of private ones outside the park.

If you want a very classy place check out The Stanley Hotel Estes Park Co. Built 1909, very fine old hotel. Not cheap but very luxurious.
