“The only one I don’t understand is the very, very strong opposition to illegal immigration.”
Oh, having your pleasant suburban California neighborhood transformed does it.
Graffiti. Overcrowding. Loud music. Litter. A dozen or more people crammed into one house. Public drunkeness. Streets crowded with junky cars. Property crime. Walls with huge paint blotches covering old graffiti. Farm animal odors. Roosters crowing at dawn. Bars on windows. Gangs. Crime. More graffiti. Teenagers competing with illegals for jobs. Americans denied jobs because fluent spanish is required. Public schools decline. Emergency rooms packed with illegals. Public housing filled with illegals courtesy of anchor babies. Parks become gang hangouts. Shopping centers become Tijuana. In ten years or less an entire town becomes a shabby and overcrowded Mexican colony.
Other than that it’s all paradise.
I see you've been to my town! :-) This is what it's all about to me. Illegals swarm into neighborhoods like mine and ruin them. If I had wanted to live in Tijuana I'd have tried to moved there. Instead, Tijuana came to me.
Dammit, this country is our HOME. We have every right to decide who comes here, and how many, and for what reasons. We don't have to explain or justify it to anyone. I sincerely hope Mr. San Franciso Liberal soon has the opportunity to experience firsthand the "wonderful, vibrant diversity" described above.
