Dude, I’m following this race very closely.

I have been responding the best I can to attacks on Christine for weeks. I don’t care about this Karl Rove stuff.

But they will be attacking her on the masturbation stuff, and I want to know what happened so I can correct them when they’re wrong. I want to be able to say this is what was said. And then say it. And be able to tell people exactly where I read it, and I want it to be a credible source. And I want to link to it.

I don’t want to say “oh I heard from someone who heard from someone”. I want the good info here, the real info here, so I can knock stuff down and others can knock stuff down.

I guess he was Bush’s brain. No wonder Bush was so “progressive”

Watch MSNBC, they play it all the time. She said “If he’s gonna take care of thimself, what am I Doing here” She was talking about “in a marriage.”

Rove’s not an idiot. He knows exactly what he’s doing by repeating and exaggerating the litany of O’Donnell’s supposed offenses at every media opportunity he can land, as soon as she won big in the primary. Meanwhile, he’s exhausted not a moment on attacking her truly Marxist rival.

But going overboard in O’Donnell’s defense with not-quite-truths doesn’t help either. She hasn’t released any papers in which the IRS admitted an error. Instead, she released an IRS letter from February, stipulating what they thought due and that they wanted it cleared up by the beginning of March, and an IRS letter from May, stating that the lien they had placed in March had been removed because she had paid in full. Maybe an agent told her the lien was in error, maybe he didn’t. But so what? She’s paid up and to make an issue of it now is ridiculous.

As to the masturbation, in the 90’s MTV video she condemns it as a sin without regard to marriage, though she justifies her position by asking why would a man who knew how to please himself already need her once they were married. She has since said that she has ‘matured’ in her views on that. But so what? The old video is good for a giggle, but not relevant in the least.

Shame, shame, shame on Rove—but there’s no reason or need for Freepers to stretch the truth in defending against such nitpicking.

Actually, I believe she said something to the effect of ‘if he knows how to pleasure himself already’—as in by his pre-marital masturbation experience—but no matter, she has said her views have since ‘matured’. It’s a total non-issue at this point.

Yep, and it likely wouldn’t be crumbling in this case (and in the other major upsets) if Sarah Palin hadn’t driven in her bulldozer influence to boost O’Donnell at the critical time. She did it before in Alaska and, with the will of the people, she’s doing it again now nationwide.

Karl Rove is no dunce.

Of course, he's a dunce. As Bush's brain, Rove was responsible for destroying Bush's presidency and giving us 4 years of Zero. He's also responsible for turning the GOP into a laughing-stock.

"...they’d rather see her lose than be “proved wrong” and lose influence..."

Precisely. The way it runs now, and has for too long, it doesn't matter who wins, the two parties are the only ones at the table slicing up the pie. If this New Breed, committed to ending "Business As Usual," is given voice by people energized by a "Throw Out ALL The Bums" ethos, then their whole shell game ends HERE and NOW.

There is no lie too great, no backstabbing of principle to vile, to prevent this New Breed from stripping them of their POWER.

While the New Breed is America's only hope, it is also the Status Quo's arch villain. Rove is a warrior for the Status Quo.

Buh-bye, Karl. ;-/

"Lets see, you have charged him , tried him, convicted him , sentenced him, impaled him and you have drawn and quartered him..."

Yep. There's nothing "next." That'll do just fine.

"For Gods sake people get a grip"

Of what? Tell us what other reason makes sense for him to do this. The accusations are already documented as false. So why keep up the lies now that she's won? What "other" explanation is there? America's waiting...

Sorry, it was impossible to miss the anger and vitriol from Rove that night.

It was ushered in by a totally ridiculous attack by Dana Perino right before.

Her attack? Dana said that O’Donnell had the nerve to compare herself to Reagan and she isn’t any Reagan.

What was COD sin? well....she had answered the naysayers by saying that people always said Reagan could not win.

That is not comparing herself to Reagan on a personal basis, it was merely a way to say that she knows that she could win in spite of the naysayers.

I do believe the lack of sanity rests at the feet of the sour grapes losers.

For petes sake, COD won by a big margin and there have been no claims of the results being tainted.

If you want to talk character flaws, Castle, Rove, Charles, Perino, have displayed some of the worst flaws since the O’Donnell win.

"I think Rove needed time to warm up to the idea..."

You're whistling past Karl's headstone, and you know it. Dissembling simply doesn't become you. Stop it. It is ugly, but the first step needed to cure a deadly disease is to admit to the problem. Making 3rd grade excuses for Karl isn't going to save him, his time has come and gone.

Get the ice floe, he's outlived his usefulness and is now giving aid and comfort to the enemy. There's just too much at stake to continue playing footsie with the cabal.

Rove was a strong backer of Bush’s “compassionate conservatism” which sold the conservatives down the river.
When G.W.Bush became pres he had both houses of congress as did obammy.

course obammy has tried to remake America in his marxist image while Bush failed to do much of anything for the conservative cause.
Sooo in reality which president has been more successful pushing their agenda?
Obammy of course but then Bush and Rove Never really were conservativees.

"Government deficits are too huge to piddle around with the Mike Castles of the world. The country will go broke. Better to have a conservative with a chance to win than a liberal with a great chance to win."

Precisely my point. That, plus the fact that everything they have against her is a string of trumped up lies or outright manipulations. Karl, we never knew ye.

"When someone of Karl Rove's stature gets on national television and talk radio, and repeats the same slanders over and over, it's not a "boo boo". It's despicable treachery."

Well put. I'll do the same.

Even Karl can make Boo boos... he is human after all.

A Boo boo is a mistake you make one time. Benedict Rove has continued his attacks on three separate occasions. His words will be used by Christine's opponent. Maybe to her downfall. Rove's a traitor to the Conservative Cause.
