It has been probably 15 years since I heard Beck on the radio, and have never seen him on TV, so I can not speak with any authority.
While he seems to be a GREAT guy, I heard him only because
the radio in my business was set on the same station as RUSH.
Beck came on about the time I was opening up, so I heard him, but never got hooked.
Of course, he may be much different then he was at his beginning.
Keep in mind, I am no longer in the USSA.

I pay to get Rush (24/7), and often listen to Savage, as I wake up.
Savage is a mixed bag, but I love that he calls the Dims
for what they are... MARXIST, and their voters “red diaper doper babies”.
We should all start calling them what they are....
neo-Marxist.
I never use the PC terms like “liberal”, “progressive”, or even “Democrat”. They are ALL nasty Commies.

The MSM would make him out to be a Total and Complete Looney Toon, more so than they do now if he was talking about bringing out the pitchforks. Can you imagine how Obama could’ve used this to his advantage had Beck kept on talking this way??

Now he is talking about what seems to be a national Kum-Byah-Ya and group hug?

...not over the last two days...

I remember a push for advertisers to boycott Beck around a year ago. I don’t even remember what it was for; but, Beck took a week long vacation from being on Fox, until things calmed down.

He probably has turned things down a notch, to please Fox.

Also, Beck seems to be very, very impressionable, and his rhetoric swings according to whatever book he happens to be reading at the time.

I like Beck, but he seems to be in a state on constant journey, never quite ‘finding himself’. Initially the humility that brings is attractive, but ultimately gets tiring.

"He’s playing rodeo clown to our political bull ride."

Interesting observation. He also said yesterday that he doesn't want to talk about particular candidates that much because Rush is the best at that.

Politics will at best produce only temporary gains unless we strive to be the type of people that this Republic was designed for.

The Founders commented on the fact that giving people unprecedented freedom would lead to catastrophe unless the people exercised self-control and harbored allegiance to a moral code that came from beyond themselves (from God).

Well said!

Glenn is simply convinced that there is violence coming from the left. Considering that the left has a history of doing exactly what they accuse others of doing, there is a strong possibility he’s right. He wants no doubt in the minds of the larger public that WE aren’t the ones who are violent.

He pulled off a huge victory on 8/28 that made a lot of the snipers on our side of the aisle take him a lot more seriously.

Hope that explains it. That’s how I see it anyway. Hopefully, this is a real concern and not just some more sniping because D’Souza just flipped off the birthers on his show.

On his show yesterday he went after Cass Sunstein.

He is back at it. He had a good show yesterday.

“Bring enough of the people back to our founding principles and we will finally see real and LASTING change for the better.”

Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding! We have a winner!

Best post I’ve seen so far on Beck’s change in direction. Hell yes, I’d LOVE to storm Washington with my own torch, pitchfork, tar, feathers, some rails, and maybe a couple lengths of rope.

But that would be anarchy, and we’re supposed to be above that. I’m with noiseman here, we need lasting change, and a return to the principles our country was founded upon.

A couple of things. Glenn appears to have made a sincere conversion to devout Christian. Also he recently had a diagnosis that he could go blind within the next year.

I believe that he is able to tap into the growing disatisfaction that people have with an ever expanding government by giving some perspective to why many of us feel the way we do.

I find it refreshing that he can freely and openly express his faith. When you look at the hundreds of thousands who went to D.C. he does appear to be connecting with an awful lot of people. I think that is a good thing.

The "People" won last night. Drudge blurb "Establishment Freaks... " says it all. We are no longer the minority fighting for a place at the table, we are running the meeting at the table. And a HUGE "THANK YOU" needs to be given to Glenn, he was a MAJOR reason for this. And he uses 1. Peoples own words, and 2. History to help our cause.

I have been a FReeper since 1999, and I NOW see why I have not been on FR as much as the old days... you guys are idiots! Glenn is a Godsend (yes i do mean GOD-send)for us and 90% of this thread has been nothing but sh*tting on Glenn. And you blame MONEY FOR WHAT GLENN IS DOING?????? He's gong blind and has a family and still works his ass off for the country!

If some of you above are NOT "Establishment" R.I.N.O. lovers, you might as well be.

Just like all the rest of us, we gotta make money to live. No need to be ashamed of earning money. His passion for learning and standing tall and knowing what is going on is admirable.

It is impossible to maintain the same high over time. It calms down a bit.. He is doing many things and being in many places. radio, writing books, appearing with Bill Riley in personal appearances around the country, etc.; his 8/28 march or Washington gathering, speaking in Alaska, doing behind the scenes work.

Likely he will be strong on government activities, people, actions, and keep us apprised of important policies, and the coming election and of course 2012.

Divided we fail. We must turn the minds, hearts of people with information, facts, and evidence toward uniting rather than splintering and being losers once again.

The democrats unite (no matter if it is a yellow dog), republicans on the other hand destroy each other and divide and fail.

It is a choice. Wise up and do our best. MO

The marxists are wasting an incredible amount of energy and resources on Beck with zero gain. More often than not, the marxists end up looking like fools because of it.

I think the appearances with Sarah Palin are about as close as we’ll ever see Glenn get to an endorsement. I think he feels that she truely believes what she says and she doesn’t sugar coat it and that’s important to him.

I believe the 8/28 rally was the culmination of his ‘new direction’...now he’s back to the ‘old Beck’. This D’Souza interview is real interesting...
