NEW YORK (AP) - A University of Delaware graduate student who made a bold bet has become the biggest one-day winner in the history of the game show "Jeopardy!" Roger Craig earned $77,000 on Tuesday's telecast. He beat the $75,000 standard set more than six years ago by legendary "Jeopardy!" champ Ken Jennings.

Awesome feat! I was on the show in 2003. I won two games and lost the third.
for crying out loud....
Sweet!
I knew FReepers were the smartest people around..:=)!
I didn’t post it.
But I’ll tell you what....it’s not going to ruin your life to have read one Jeopardy spoiler....
?
Why did you click on the story then?!
I was 33.
Now I’m 40 and I wish I had waited.
But...I was invited to the tryout. Passed the test there. Did the mock round and interview...and when they call you, you don’t say no.
I’ve been watching Jeopardy for years - since the days of Art Fleming....I fired off an email to them a couple of months ago when they had some doctor in between rounds touting zer0bamacare. Ever since they’ve gone into “partnership” with the NYSlimes, they’ve not even been subtle about their liberalism. Then tonight, one of the catagories has Perky Katie asking the questions and she got her usual slam in against Sarah Palin. If this keeps us, then I’m going to quit watching!
George: What is Tungsten or Wolfram?
Alex Trebek: We were looking for ‘What is Tungsten, or Wolfram’.
Jerry: Is this a repeat?
George: No, no, no. Just lately, I’ve been thinking a lot clearer.
I haven’t been watching. It’s the darndest thing...I guess after you’ve been on maybe you don’t care as much.
Surprised to find out they are politicizing the show.
The group of contestants I was with were really fun people. You get time together as they have to keep you in a group and separated from everyone else while the show is taping.
It tapes five shows on Tuesday and five shows on Wednesday. So, you spend the whole day....including lunch, segregated with your own.
I won the last show in Tuesday, so had to stay another day to tape on Wednesday.
I would wager that most contestants fall on the conservative side of the spectrum.
OK then....
I would LOVE to see him try to go on the show.
Maybe it should be a pre-requisite, but the questions could be tailored to the constitution, government, founding documents, management?
well its pretty obvious when the headline indicates “Del. student sets record for Jeopardy”.....
Sorry I ruined it for you..:=(

Wolf Blitzer on Jeopardy.
I love Weird Al and it’s hilarious because I was LOSING badly on the first show and came from behind. I don’t think I hit the daily double on any of the three shows.
