Um.... Ok. Not SOP, but not that bad.
Let’s say, for instance, he had removed the uterus, branded the patient’s name, and put it back in....
Or branded her name and then took it home...
Or cooked it for dinner...
Or inserted said uterus into a female pig to create a species of pigmen...
Then she might have legal standing.
Once it is taken out, it becomes the property of the doctor and he can do what he wants with it???

That's not true, the uterus, and any other body part removed by surgery, still belongs to the patient. They paid for the procedure and didn't give up any rights to the parts. This doctor was an idiot. What if the pics get on the internet, which pictures have a habit of doing regardless of good intentions. This woman could be the subject of untold ridicule if that happens. I think this doctor needed to get permission before branding the name on the uterus and needs to have his a** sued off.
