"Lying about gambling doesnt change his stats. He earned them. They deserve to be recognized."
They are recognized in the hall. I believe that his bat that broke the record is in the hall. I'm sure other articles of his are in there referring to his accomplishments. What is a little ironic is that the player who formerly held the record (Ty Cobb) was a despicable psycho of a man. There is strong evidence that he committed murder. Yet, he's in the hall. Why? Because he didn't break the one rule that keeps you out of the hall, gambling.
If they want to make an exception for Pete Rose, then they need to make an exception for Joe Jackson and Eddie Cicotte. Jackson would have certainly been in the hall and Cicotte would have most likely made it if given a chance to continue playing. He was already a fringe HOF'er when he was banned.

I believe that his bat that broke the record is in the hall. Despite that fact, Pete allegedly sold "the bat that broke the record" to countless suckers again and again.
