On Saturday, the Cincinnati Reds celebrated the 25th anniversary of Pete Rose's 4,192d hit, which broke Ty Cobb's career hits record.

Later that night, at a roast of Rose at a casino in Indiana, Rose broke down and cried as he made a heartfelt apology for his involvement in betting on baseball.

Well, the investigation, the bookies and the betting slips said otherwise.

The guy supported himself for a while selling fake memorablia for his own career. Pardon me if I don't accept the word of a career liar.

I'm not hateful or unhinged.

You argue like a liberal.

‘...Nostalgia...’ is your argument for Pete to be in the HOF (and his stats).

Many posters here disagree with you for factual reasons.

You wrote: “...I’d like to see my childhood baseball hero finally be forgiven for his mistake...”

You still do not get that it WAS NOT A MISTAKE! He did it on purpose for YEARS!

Your only rebuttal to our facts are your emotions. That's the liberal way.

And, since you you still can't admit it I rightly called you a wuss. And then that must have hurt your wittle fewlings.

Awwwww.
