Wonder of they will ever make a movie on Dusko Popov?

Oh that’s right, they already made an entire series - they just called him James Bond.

View the old "Reilly: Ace of Spies" series. From wikiwacki - Reilly, Ace of Spies is a 1983 television miniseries, written by Troy Kennedy Martin, and based on the 1967 book Ace of Spies by Robin Bruce Lockhart.

Absolutely delightful. Well scripted, magnificently acted and fairly close to the life of 'Sidney Reilly.' He was all one imagined Bond to be and more...and he was a real person.

The most interesting story about Popov was his run-in with J Edgar Hoover. Reportedly he warned Hoover about Perl Harbor, but Hoover disliked Popov so much (because he drank, cursed, romanced women, etc) that he discounted the information.

Years later Hoover would try to spin things to say he was never told any such thing.
