antibiotics havent been part of my life unless I absolutely need themThere have been a couple of times when I was prescribed antibiotics and I felt better then next day. It's obvious that they shouldn't have been prescribed. One day, 3 pills is not a problem. The problem is that people who take antibiotics for 3-5 days and then stop when they feel better. Now we have all the super-bugs who are becoming resistant to so many antibiotics.

Right again! And it's of concern.
Here's my interesting (maybe?!) story regarding essential oils. We had some extra money to pick up this powdered magnesium I used to take years ago from a holistic physician in Colorado. I googled him up, and he had on his site something new, essential oils from Young Living, and I thought, heck I'll try a couple. Since I don't have my hearing, my daughter did the ordering by phone, and there was a mix-up of sorts, and the receptionist sent out the oils without getting back to us on the pricing, and I was agog (when they were delivered; I ordered Lavender as well, ended up being terrific also) that I had just spent some $50 dollars on little tiny bottles of oil. I was going to send them back, but on the day they came (coincidence?!), I developed an awful (and I mean awful) sore throat. In my mind, it surely was strep, but I couldn't get to the doctor that evening (he was closed), so I thought, what the heck, I'll try the Oregano Oil. Well, I gargled with it two or three times over the course of 4 hours (the stuff is horrible tasting; you use only 1 drop), and before I went to bed, my throat felt a little better. I got up in the middle of the night and did the same, and by morning, my sore throat was gone. I still had mean congestion/head cold, but nothing I needed to see the doctor about at that time. Anyway, I kept up with the gargling over the next couple of days and I have no idea if I conquered strep with Oregano Oil, but I surely got rid of an awful sore throat with the stuff. What's nice, is your body doesn't get "used to" the essential oil, thus requiring more. They always pack the same punch. I hope by taking them, that if I ever *do* need an antibiotic, that it will work for me ...
