I am worried because too many people, especially our youth, don't even have a clue as to what living under a totalitarian regime is like. Here is my story, how I learned about the evils of government domination and became the patriotic freedom-fighter that I am today.
I am a descendant of immigrants from Yugoslavia. They immigrated to the United States around 1900........
He told me that leaving his country, his home, was very difficult. I later learned that he had had a girlfriend in Yugoslavia, and when he left with my mother, she fell on the ground, sobbing, "I know I'll never see you again."
But here is the scariest thing he told me. "It is coming here, Char," he said. "It is coming here." Needless to say, that terrified me.

Join the counter revolution.
Funny she mentioned Ayn Rand. That’s who made the light click on in my head too.
Eastern European people who recently escaped the Soviet Union understand the realities.
Our silly academics and Hollywood celebrities infect the youth of America who are often unable to think for themselves.
Even Castro just said that Communism does not work.
Every conservative talking head on TV, radio and the blogosphere needs to highlight the horrors of communism and socialism through 1st person narratives as often as possible.
I am the resistance.
I have seen how the chinese communists treat the Tibetans with my own eyes. It is the rule of thugs.
My niece is a nun and one of the sweetest human beings you’ve ever met. This summer at our family reunion (which is infiltrated with progressives from Boston, Maine and Vermont) she gave a first hand look into socialism and communism as she saw it in her travels. Vladovostak, Venezuela and China are just a few of the places her order have gone.
The little idiot drones insisted that the kenyan isn’t trying to to accomplish anything of the sort. They literally said, “he knows how to achieve it better”. Very frustrating and my LAST family reunion (on my wife’s side). Too infuriating. I’d have a better vacation alone on my porch with my TV for a week.
And sadly, there are still too many Americans who think it can’t happen here.
There are too many that want it here.
I don’t remember the freeper’s name. Seems to me we had this conversation a couple of years ago. Anyway, said freeper had come here from a Communist country.
The comment that stuck most in my mind was his observation that history showed that the lesson of the horrors of Communism had to be relearned every 40 years or so.
The upcoming generation was always removed from the horrors, or failed experiments of the past, and very susceptible to the siren song of Utopia.
Interestingly, the movie ATLA SHRUGGED is due out in 2011.
It is reportedly going to be a three-part movie.

Read the whole thing. It’s definitely worth your time.
PING!
Thanks for the ping! My accountant and her husband know a person from Yugoslavia. The communists determined their house was more than they needed and they were kicked out on the street and a communit official got the house. They made it to the USA, but lost everything to the communists. Wake up Aamerica, the same thing is happening here.
