I don't know. It just doesn't sound good to me.

First, I don't think cheddar is even the right style of cheese to add truffles to; my experience has been that fresh chevre or a brie-style cheese is far more amenable to the truffle. (For example, the award-winning Truffle Tremor from Cypress Grove.)

I also would have thought that black truffles would be more natural than white, but certainly there are many folks who do use white truffles in their cheeses.

Of course, de gustibus non est disputandum, and the marketplace will make the ultimate decision as to the fate of this comestible.

Agree, you know, my thought is if I were to buy this, I would request all the ingredients separated out.

I would tell the waiter to bring me the salad in a bowl(include the egg) and then put the cheese, fruit, and bread on the side.

Now. Fixed it. Served like this, with a nice glass of wine it sounds like a fantastic appetizer.

But mashing all those beautiful gifts from God together is an abomination.

And get rid of the gold! The gold is just stupid. IMO

Of course we both know that he knows this. He just wanted to make the papers. lol and he did!
