A six-year veteran of the Albany Police Department has been arrested on suspicion of sex abuse and hindering prosecution.
Officer Rick Hawley was arrested Thursday by Oregon State Police following a grand jury indictment in an investigation dating to April. That’s when the Albany Police Department received a complaint from an individual, alleging criminal conduct by Hawley in an off-duty incident a few months earlier.
