The devil quotes verbatim from the Septuagint translation regarding Psalms 91: 11, 12.

Does he, really?

Read it again.

Seems you you have a lot of confidence in the father of all lies.

I trust you read Greek then?

ὅτι τοῖς ἀγγέλοις αὐτοῦ ἐντελεῖται περὶ σοῦ τοῦ διαφυλάξαι σε ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ὁδοῖς σου

That is the Psalm.

καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ εἰ υἱὸς εἶ τοῦ θεοῦ βάλε σεαυτὸν κάτω γέγραπται γὰρ ὅτι τοῖς ἀγγέλοις αὐτοῦ ἐντελεῖται περὶ σοῦ καὶ ἐπὶ χειρῶν ἀροῦσίν σε μήποτε προσκόψῃς πρὸς λίθον τὸν πόδα σου

That is the extended verse in Matthew.

It is the same. It is also the same in the Vulgate, Darby, NIV, KJV, NKJV and 30 other translations. Which anyone who has google or perhaps, as I, Logos International Software, can tell you. As can all the commentary tell you, the Devil may take it out of context, he may misapply it, but he does quote it with precision accuracy.

So what totally off topic point, does this tangent make?

PS: Just in case you are determined to claim it does not or make some excuse for not reading Greek. You can cut and paste the Greek into word, and it will change the characters into their MS hash numerical values and then you can see that word for word it is correct.

My nickname on other forums is "GodGrrl". You have chosen a poor tangent to best me.
