I had begun putting him in the small bathroom when he use to growl with no reason. It appeared to work. Then i stopped because it was a hassle. But you have given me new resolve.
I cannot stress this enough...*consistency*.
Every time, no matter what, no exceptions.
I *know* that sounds like a life sentence but possibly even in as short as a week or two, you ~will~ start to see dramatic changes.
You are speaking “his language” when you ignore/isolate him.
No pack animal wants to be separated from his pack, ~ever~.
Eventually, he will associate your actions with your -superiority-.
He can’t open the door and get back to you...only *you* have that “power”.
His brain will start to reprogram to “normal” if this is done consistently and faithfully.
And, if he lapses in the future, it won’t take near as long to “make your point” to him again.
