Yeah, as a certified animal wacko, it pisses me off. I have adopted only adult dogs (five to date) and have never had a problem. I tend to adopt dogs which are 10 years of age and over because those are usually the ones that no one wants--listening to people like you, I guess.
And there's a reason they're old. They've been good, Ms. Faith, they have obeyed their masters, they don't pee or defecate on the floor, they don't bite, all those qualities that are desirable.
So, don't be spreading misinformation. It's unbecoming.
Good for you. Like I said. Just because YOU haven't had any such problems does not make for a scientific case. Lucky you.
You miss my post about the land mines? Just because YOU don't blow up kicking one, doesn't in any way make the theory that they are safe nor a good idea to put in playgrounds around the country.
You all talk about "your experience" and I continue to point out, that your case is NO MORE VALID than these articles we post about when someone ELSE has an equally BAD experience.
It is a BAD idea to plug too many lights into the same outlet. Just because YOU haven't burned your house down YET is not a sufficient defense, and it sure isn't an acceptable advocacy.

Thank you. Dogs end up needing to rehomed for a lot of reasons. Some end up homeless because their owner died, or due to divorce. Lots of others end up needing a new family because the people who got them as pups decided one day they were tired of their pet. Not fault of the unlucky dog. These dogs make perfectly good pets in the hands of responsible folk.
I have taken back a number of adult dogs I sold as pups. They all acclimated to our household and none proved dangerous in any way whatsoever.
