Family dog mauls girl
NT News ^ | Sept 11, 2010 | Annie Sanson

A TERRITORY girl is lucky to be alive after she was mauled by a savage dog.

Seven-year-old Meg Croton and her brother Connor, 9, had been feeding their family's dog - an eight-year-old mastiff cross - in their Humpty Doo back yard when the girl was attacked by the vicious hound.

"I tripped on a rock and fell, and I think I kicked his leg," Meg recalled the attack. "And then it hurt very badly and he was on top of me and ripped on my head. "But my brother saved my life."

My FRiends, for goodness sake, stop feeding this troll. I know it’s infuriating with its haughty lefttard attitude and painting us all with the brush it rode in on, but it can neither think, reason nor back up its assertions. It’s a sociopath that enjoys yanking our chains with bizarre accusations and “the reading of our minds.” And it’s trolling for pings like a Japanese fishing boat and reveling in it. Recognize the tsunami posts? It has diarrhea of the mouth.

Don’t speak to it.

Dang it!

Do read the back of a book first.

This was getting serious and like brytlea, I was looking forward to the ending.

Thanks ruining it!

I used an absurd statement for humor, but your statement about most animal lovers being pro aborts

No. I was actually serious. The common thread of liberalism is antiChrist. Therefore, things like Animal Idolatry, abortion, sodomy, all go together. They all devalue human life.

I knew you were being only slightly funny, but the truth is, YOU are also right. Most lawyers are sick, twisted. They teach terrible things in Law School. Horrific mind bending untruthful things, and glorify "winning" above all else. Truth is all subjective and manipulative. THAT is why I answered you.

I don't care HOW off the mark your question may be. I have the answer to it. Ya know the old 50's comedy? I'd be the "straight man" in those. You say it, I BITE and reply. You can play that game all day and I will never tire of the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Even when it is offensive, disturbing and very unpopular.

So, there we are.

It was a piece from a movie called “5 Easy Pieces”.

Rest easy. It is the final answer. Nothing more need be said. It is the question we are seeking, not the answer.

I can’t believe I have come back and read any of the rest of this. This is the most bizarre thread, it’s like some parallel universe. Scary and yet totally random. Not even sure what it all means. I keep hoping that at the end it will all make sense and I’ll go, Wow, I’m glad I read to the end!

Would you believe me, if I told you, that the answer to that question is "Yes, you will"?

Would you believe me, if I told you, that the proof has actually already been posted on this thread, but it is one of those hindsight things, that most do not see, until some time after the occurrence?

You should....

But, seriously. WHY did you even go there? I mean, you’ve done it on 100% of our exchanges. Never just letting your yes be your yes and your no your no, you seem to always interject some tangent.

If you go back and read my replies to you, I am consistently answering something you've written. I may elaborate a point, expound a bit, but I've answered something you've written every time.

Is it just this subject matter? The heat of the long drawn out exchange? Normal par for the course bad debate habits on this forum? For real. Am I off base? Do you not see it? You seem like an otherwise sane, sound, respectful, intelligent person... but there is this thing I just can’t quite put my finger on... maybe I’m a bit shell shocked... but it seem just too convenient... Comment?

Well, I am sure my debating skills are not classic. During my college experience I was pretty much too busy with science classes and later with photography to take philosophy (gag) or debate.

And if someone has an opinion that certain breeds should be extinct, do they not have the right to that opinion? Can they not make a case for it? I’ve never really thought of that before, and I am neither automatically opposed nor supportive.

Why yes, anyone can state an opinion. However, anyone else can point out how screwed up such an opinion may be. Let's look at banning Breed X. Once that door is open, it allows for the next individual to come screaming for the banning of other breeds (German shepherds, let's say, since we both have owned or own them). Not only that, but those of us who follow animal rights extremists know full well the absolute attack our rights are under to own the pet of our choice, or to even eat meat, for that matter. Note - yep, I'm off on a bit of a tangent, but A/R's should be a concern for anyone who believes in conservative principles, as their goal is to lower man down to animal level.

And while I am deeply moved emotionally by the graphic pictures, my first thought is NOT “wipe them out... all of them” in some Sithy sinister way. My first thought is for the child. My second is, yes, destroy THAT animal. Always. But, my third thought is, OK, someone call Child Protective services... IF the parents, like in this article’s example (see I am still on topic) let their children play with such an animal. I mean I am “WTF were you morons THINKING”?

Chuckle. We're on the same page here for the most part. In the case of the kid in the article, the parents need their backsides handed to them for chaining that dog and then not supervising the kids. Parents have a duty to make sure any pet animal they adopt is temperamentally sound, regardless of its age.

I think it is the logical extreme of that question which set off our post creator who took my generic reply to the story as a personal reply, which altered the entire rest of this thread.

Well, here again, I've said upthread my opinion that adult dog adoption may be no less safe than a puppy purchase if we're dealing with imbeciles.

OK, that’s THREE topics... I hope I didn’t lose you... LOL

that poor child is lucky...looks like that was not far from being a fatality

i had something like that happen to a pal of mine’s toddler recently and we talked about it here

it was a known to be nasty Rottie

you have to watch big guard breeds in particular around wee ones

we all lapse...i forget about it and come in and the baby is laying comfortably on our 100 pound Bully pup..or he smacks the dog with his plastic sword or shoots him with his airsoft pistol...the dog is a good sport but it’s just un nerving to me

but you just never know

any big male guard can kill humans if he wants and they have to be watched

period

my last dog was a trained highly aggressive Dobie and I always supervised him with kids
