A TERRITORY girl is lucky to be alive after she was mauled by a savage dog.
Seven-year-old Meg Croton and her brother Connor, 9, had been feeding their family's dog - an eight-year-old mastiff cross - in their Humpty Doo back yard when the girl was attacked by the vicious hound.
"I tripped on a rock and fell, and I think I kicked his leg," Meg recalled the attack. "And then it hurt very badly and he was on top of me and ripped on my head. "But my brother saved my life."

Read the entire thread. Eaker's comments may have been crass, but they are valid. RachelFaith only believes that her opinion is correct, even though she has no experience; she basically has called those with experience idiots. Her debating skills are severely lacking, yet she claims to have just graduated from law school. Thus, I believe, the reason for Eaker's comment.
Snort! Isn't ARL part of PETA? And we all know how PETA shelters take care of unwanted dogs.
Maybe that IS what she learned in Law School...Insist that your opinion is the only sensible one, and avoid arguing with anyone whose character you disapprove of.

I read the thread all the way back to the beginning and disagreed your style of training. But to each their own.
Oh, and my dogs are strong personalities, takes commands once but more than that, they are the biggest babies on the planet.
If they want to sleep on the bed, fine. When I want them off, getting down is not an option.
Just like heeling or sitting. Saves dogs lives when they decide to dog things and run into the street or woods.
Oh, and they are Cockers which before I had them my opinion was they were one of the worst dogs.
Came to learn they are highly intelligent and want to do things like any other dog.
They take over 40 commands and about 5 in Spanish.
The only bad dog is the result of the owner.
The owner has to own the responsibility for being in charge, dominance and play.
I don’t care if they adults when you get them. All dogs learn all the time.
They don’t suffer from over stimulation and need stuff to do and they want to do it with you.
I could go on and on but I want to see Eaker whine some more and if he stays on this thread he might just forget there are other threads and go blind.
