I think it’s really common, once I mention it, LOTS of people admit they have the same issue. Many people go ahead and fly but they take something before they do. I’d rather not take a drug, I just drive.
I think it’s very common as well. The last time I flew, one of the women in our group was forced to sit in a middle seat of about six, I think. She was close to panic on the way over, and she confided to us at the terminal that she was terrified that on the return trip she wouldn’t be able to keep herself under control. I would never have guessed it, but not everyone shows how afraid they are.
UPDATE: According to latest developments and interviews to Livingston, police believes she was not trying to open the door, but finding a way to stabilize herself during the attack. So, now they have released her and have announced that this will not be treated as a crime.
