Were there long inflammatory posts against people who were denouncing Wright and defending his right to say what ever he pleased? Were people planning “chicken come home to roost” barbecues in their back yard in support of him?

Definitely a straw man. I don't recall a single post calling for them to be silenced by government force. None asking the President to assemble a united front consisting of a top general, a State Dept. official, the Attorney General, the Sec. of Defense and the WH spokesman to condemn those people.

I don't see the moral equivalence between Rev. Wright and terrorists. That may be why you didn't hear of anyone doing that. You are the only one I know of who has made that comparison.
