Two interesting shows running tonight on the History Channel:
8-9pm ET/PT:
The Man Who Predicted 9/11: The Story of Rick Rescorla
More info from RickRescorla.com (I couldn't find any info on the History Channel site, unfortunately):
9-11pm ET/PT:
9/11: State of Emergency (NEW show):
9/11 STATE OF EMERGENCY is a ground-breaking documentary that tells the story of 9/11 in the words of key political and military leaders, and ordinary men and women who suddenly found themselves on the frontlines of a new kind of war. National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice, White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card, Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dick Myers, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld and a host of other top officials take viewers deep inside the corridors of power during the most dramatic day of the century, offering fresh insights into the unprecedented state of emergency that was 9/11.

I am not promoting the DVD here, but this is the only information I could find about the show on the History Channel.

Aren’t we tired of being inundated by all of the Hollywood and TV 9-11 movies and TV shows??
oh wait... they never actually cared did they?
Thanks for posting this. I probably would have missed the shows.
I watched “Guiliani’s 911” last night and it was very good. Looking forward to the programs.
Just in case AR wasn’t on your ping list. AR knew Rick Rescorla when they were soldiers once, and young.
FYI..both shows, while excellent, are several years old...not new..
Thanks for the info...but I thought I had already seen this.
The program “The Man Who Predicted 9/11” is fantastic. It’s bitter-sweet with stories of loss on one hand, and miracles of survival on the other.
Thanks.
Looking forward to see if the History Channel has budged from in its anti-American stand on almost every program I run across.

The History Channel has always been solid on 9/11. They had a wonderful show debunking 9/11 truthers point by idiot point. Likely this will be repeated sometime over the weekend.

That's right, Ronnie... NEVER FORGET.
Thanks. I had seen the show about Rick Rescorla before, but "9/11: State of Emergency" was listed as "New" on my cable on-screen guide, and was heavily promoted as a new show last Monday on the History Channel.
I've seen most of the History Channel's 9/11 programs... I hadn't seen this one before. It was excellent overall.
Thanks for the ping!
As he was leaving, he was very calm, asking the teacher how the students are doing. When he got up to go, one of the Press people in the back of the room shouted a question about the plane hitting the building in New York. President Bush looked at him and said, we'll talk about that later, not wanting to upset the children.
All we ever got was the “my pet goat” story. I never saw that additional footage before. Bush looked calm and deliberate. He did not have the deer in headlights look that was portrayed by the Media. Pravda is alive and well.
Yup. Lots of interesting footage on "9/11: State of Emergency" (which is re-running now, btw). My husband and I had never seen the footage of the walls of the Pentagon crumbling.
This documentary really brought it all back...
The man called his Wife after the first plane hit saying he was going to help evacuate a student group and he would see her that night. He never made it home.
My Uncle only found out about his friend a few days later when he called the house and the man's son answered the phone. He was devastated having known the man for over 20 years.
How easily people, including our current President, discount the events of that day. Build the Mosque, send the FBI to check out a guy who wants to burn a copy of the Jihadist handbook. It makes me sick.
