I had this discussion with a friend of mine from church; basically, we should be able to get a ‘hint’ from his works, and words.
Does supporting partial-birth abortion align oneself with Christ?
Does taking wealth from those who work and giving to those who either don’t or break the law align oneself with Christ?
Does declaring the nation is not a “Christian” nation align oneself with Christ?
Does obfuscating your upbringing, origin, teaching, writings align oneself with Christ?
Does aligning oneself as an enemy of Israel align one with Christ?
Matt 7:15-20 (ESV)
“Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.
The answer to all of those questions is yes, if you look at christ as a liberator and know liberation theology.
At least on the surface anyways. I am no expert on liberation theology, and I hope you are studying it too.
