I have an android, and I love it. I set up a friend’s iPhone (and I use both macs and windows pcs at home and work) and I was very impressed.
Instead of saying Android hurts Google, I would make a case that AT+T kills Apple. My droid uses Verizon and it’s great - I have access to everything Google at good speed with no disconnections. If anything, the Droid/Verizon makes Google look good.
My iPhone friends all hate AT+T because of the poor 3g access and constant disconnections, but love the phone.
Best of both worlds would be an iPhone on Verizon’s network, but Verizon seems to have thrown its lot in with Google.
I have an Android X. We just spent 3 weeks traveling around the country, camping in our Airstream trailer. The phone and service never failed.
However, when/if iPhone goes to Verizon, I’ll switch to iPhone, but not one second sooner.
Actually I have Tilt2 on ATTs network and I love ATT. The speeds are faster than Verizon too. Plus I can tether and talk at the same time.
But what we recently found out about the iPhone it’s an Ipod Touch first and phone second. And in many cases it’s Apple giving ATT a bad name. But since ATT already had a bad impression on the market it was more easily to believe ATT was screwing up and not the iPhone.
