A little history: until the 1920s, in Western society, high-status women protected their skin from the sun because only women who worked outside, in the fields, were suntanned. Only low-status women had tans. Even the upper-class women who rode horses covered themselves up with hats, gloves, long sleeves, etc. Fast forward to an industrial society in Western Europe and the United States. By the 1920s, the vast majority of women who worked, worked inside and away from the sun. So the leisured classes, the high-status women, from that time on have tanned themselves to a crisp as an indicator of their access to boats, beaches, tennis courts, and other leisure activities only available to middle- and upper class women. Pale, untanned skin became a working-class indicator. For more detail about how this all works, I heartily recommend Thorstein Veblen’s “The Theory of the Leisure Class.”
She really needs some Botox.
Genes have a lot to do with her appearance too. Did you ever see Eunice Kennedy. ach, she had deep deep wrinkles.
I have had some tragedy in my life, am five years older than my hubby and people think he’s my dad.

The Kennedy’s expect every Democrat politician to kiss their ass because they’re the Kennedy’s and for no other reason. Next January will mark the first time in my lifetime that there hasn’t been a Kennedy in Washington. The family’s time has passed, their sun has set, and their influence is non-existent. They might as well get used to it. I’m sure looking forward to doing so.

oh i know it and i think that the Irish may have dibs on wrinkles, i have a very dear friend who is Irish and who has a similar wrinkle situation to Caroline and she’s my age exactly. Not that Eastern Europeans are non-wrinkly, but i lucked out and look fairly young for my ‘advancing’ age LOL!
Why are we giving this women power, she hasn't earned it.

There may something to this story but the part that says CAroline is upset because Obama has not let her make appointment/decisions is odd. She turned down a political bid.
I think that the Obama’s have dissed her (the Obama’s only like chicago mob politicians) but not this crap.Because of OBAMA Uncle Teddy’s position was tarnished.

Looking at it from Michelle’s POV:
Caroline is part of Camelot. She is the last of Camelot. She is a Kennedy and was raised as part of THE AMERICAN ROYAL FAMILY. She is a woman, far more attractive than Michelle. She certainly has more grace and class. (I am not a Caroline fan-trying to think as Michelle). I doubt we would see pictures which we could label “Caroline’s (fill in the blank: penis, nipples or wedgies).”
IOW, Michelle and Obama feel inferior to her on a personal level. Besides Teddy is still dead and they do not have to make nice to her.
Kennedy women do not age well.
Oh, no! Not a rift between the Kennedys and Obamas! On a more important note, what on earth happened to Caroline’s skin?

The Kennedy women do not age well - look at pictures of Patricia Lawford, Eunice Shriver and Maria. Jackie didn’t look like that at the age of 52.....
