Fasciotomy for compartment syndrome?

That was my first impression. Also looks like a meshed split thickness skin graft to close the wound distally, which would point towards trauma of some sort.

When the pressure is down, the fasciotomy is covered with a skin graft.

People who are likely to need a fasciotomy include the following:

athletes who have sustained one or more serious impact injuries

people who spend long periods of time on their feet people with severe burns

persons who are overweight

snakebite victims

Compartment syndrome
