They are entertainment for me and are for the most part legal. I don’t see why consensual adults can’t hook up for NSA or whatever. But if human trafficking and child exploitation is present, that’s what cops get paid to do. Btw, “casual encounters” is still up in my area. For the most part its mos and trannies. I like “best of”.

I had no problem with anything I ever saw on Craigslist. We used to look at the erotic services at the office for a laugh. Further, I personally oppose most prostitution laws anyway. I not only have no problem with people using the web to hook up, I don't care if women (or men, trannies, etc) use it to whore themselves out. Most moral laws are useless and do not reduce the underlying problem they are designed to combat.

So now online prostitution will just move to several other websites. We've accomplished nothing.

Human traffickers and child exploitation should be dealt with far more harshly than it is today. Go after the real criminals and when caught lock them up forever. But wasting time pestering consenting adults for using the web to hook up or otherwise engage in the worlds oldest profession is an absolute waste of time.

With Craigslist blocking adult service ads, how are the cops going to set up all their sting operations?

I’m with ya. We must as tax payers protect children(at least that’s what my dollars in part going to). But let adults have at it.

I get my internet service on Wednesday. I got a free computer and printer off CL. I’ve never owned a computer and am starting grad school 10/25. It was about time. My point is, I got good free stuff on the “free” listings. They provide a great service.

LOL.. I posted at work early on due to an extensive interest in Vince Foster after I found the site because I was a(the) USPP intern that was left ignored and needed contacts and info back then. I took time off for awhile and now do so from a Blackberry.

To be specific, FR was was gateway to Hugh Sprunt and Reed Irvine from AIM. And somehow it became my love for conservatism, activism, and being a solid Rebublican.
I’m one of those guys that works 8 hrs per day on a computer and still mail my bills in with stamps. I’m young(39) but antiquated. I’m addicted to my “crackberry” and have the Verizon bill to prove it. ;o)

Crap!

I still have 500 inflatable Squantos dolls to sell!

Have you considered selling them for boat races?

Probably craigslist was happy to have an excuse to shut this category down anyway. Almost all the ads were fakes or inducements to fraud, and this category was always extremely troublesome for craigslist to police. Additionally, abuse of this category is what has prompted most of the more draconian rules changes that craigslist has been forced to institute during the last year or so. Craigslist will be a better place without this category.
