My troubleshooting approach was try the simple things first. Usually worked. Especially since LSI circuits.
Very few pieces of equipment today warrant component level repair. I have mixed feelings about that. I also have mixed feelings about the unnessarily complex design approaches that are often taken. Build simple, reliable and low component count electronics. Smart design.
Yeah, tell me about it.
Friend of mine from years ago married a Vietnam refugee gal. That's how I know about all the freebies they got when they entered the country. He never realized once he married her, he married the entire family.
Again to their credit they all became functioning members of society
What is the purpose of this leftist “class”ification crap article? Are you just checking on what sort of off-hand comments can be trolled up and cherry picked?
You seem to have (in error, I presume) posted the same question twice (see your post #78).
In any case, I have already answered this exact question (see my post #79). My answer stands, as does my hope for a reduction in the temperature of your emotional state.
I think those are the guys who like to “tell you” how you are going to live.
Freight handlers come to mind.
“They” would all get part time jobs, and pool the money. They would buy a house. As they got full time jobs, they would pool more money and buy more homes. In the end, they all owned their homes and they all worked.
It wasn’t that they were “bad” neighbors. It was the constant coming and going, and the multiple cars in the street, driveway, and on the lawn.
BUT, their kids always had clean clothes and they always went to school.
They looked different, but they really worked their tails off.
And I really got to like their food from the local restaurants that opened.
I guess the worst thing they did is play their versions of american music really loud and repeatedly. They had a version of “yellow bird” that should have been outlawed. 20 years later and I still laugh about it.
That's a partial answer. A strong family and appropriate home life (firm discipline, high expectations, strong work ethic) is the rest of the answer.
I used to tell my wife upon observing that all ten players on the court were black: "Now we're playing serious basketball."
Ha, I'm sure that the downturn in millwright jobs was replaced by longshoremen. Somebody has to unload those containers from China, right?
That's why I'm convinced the purpose of the survey is to stir up the pot of racism. If professions such as music or sports were listed, there wouldn't be that emotional "The man is keeping us down" impact. Instead, horror of horrors, it might actually result in a sense of pride in accomplishment, instead of fostering resentment.
Given the difficulty of the pre-graduate and graduate course work, and the competitiveness in the form of standardized tests, grades, and class standing to gain admission to dental school, the Bell Curve nicely predicts that only about 1.4% of blacks would have a high enough IQ to be a dentist.
My ex-wife is Italian. Same thing there.
