LIVERPOOL, England, Sept. 3 (UPI) -- A man charged with murder said in an English court he accidentally killed his wife when a kinky-sex game went wrong.
But prosecutors in a Liverpool court said Michael Roberts, 27, killed his wife of five months when she found out he was cheating on her, London's Guardian newspaper said Friday.
Vicky Roberts, 25, was strangled with the tie on her bathrobe. Roberts said his wife wrapped the cord around her own neck, and asked him several times to tighten it before she lost consciousness as they were having sex.
After allegedly killing his wife, Roberts' hid her body in his garage while he made up a "devious and clever" story about how she died, the report said.
Prosecutors said Roberts sent a text message to his lover shortly after he killed his wife, saying, "good night, beautiful, sweet dreams xx."
Roberts discovered her husband's affair after looking on his Internet Facebook page, and she had told her employer the two were having problems, prosecutors said.
"To many people, including their families, they appeared the perfect couple," prosecutor David Steer said in court. "Sadly the reality was altogether different. Throughout their relationship, Roberts cheated on her."

What a terrible shame that his wife had to give her life for his stupidity, selfishness, and greed.
Saw his picture. The charges, if proven, will land his skinny hide in jail. A much different future is in store for him than the one he expected.
