Unrelated, but Hazel Dell, in unincorporated Clark County Washington, is about 5 miles from Vancouver's Esther Short Park where another young lady recently was assaulted with acid thrown in her face.

Fortunately, this was not the case this time.

That’s one thing I’ve warned wife and kids to be aware of. Good men know better than to approach a woman or a child unknown to them, in an isolated setting, especially at night, and ask for anything. The approach should be a red flag. It should be immediately detected at a distance, and a flight or fight response prepared.
