"Then why did you claim there had been a "Christian abduction" of FR?"

Because I have seen it with my own eyes from the middle of 1998 to now...look at the resources used up by Robert Drobot alone every week...I used to not have to wade through this waste of bandwidth (which I have contributed to mightily over the years}

I'm just saying... :{)

I already said I didn’t think Rudy was a conservative...it seemed more rhetorical, therefore foolish.

I don’t care. It’s pretty clear that your main opposition is to having threads about Christianity on a conservative forum.

Sorry, one more...

"Congress passed what was known as the "Midnight Judges" Act which Adams signed and William Marbury was appointed to a five year term as a justice of the peace. I fail to see how this makes Adams a liberal."

He his son and his grandson were all liberals. From the Alien and Sedition Acts to their constant sniping at the transcontinental railroad and everything in between. History can be your friend.

What do the beliefs of Adams' son and grandson have to do with anything? Keep in mind that President Reagan's only biological son is a flaming liberal.

I would grant that the Alien and Sedition Acts were probably unconstitutional, but I wouldn't say they were liberal.

I thought I was responding to a train of thought, I'm sorry if it was I that got derailed.

I was around the first year.

Christianity was always well represented and evident.

. . . as well as respected.

Though, IIRC the early years were also more raucus and lots of people seemed to enjoy ranting who didn’t respect much of anything, it sometimes seemed.

For 90% + of FREEPERS,

there is

NOT GETTING PAST OUR CHRISTIANITY no matter how furiously the globalists are trying to outlaw it and us.

It saturates all we do, think and say, perceive and choose—or needs to.

I don't oppose the Christian influence on conservatism. I just want to get past that and focus on the conservatism....no matter what it was influenced by.

Why?

Is Christianity just a useful tool to set up a comfortable, safe, orderly society that can be ditched once it's done its job?

Conservatism will not stay conservative without the moral value system that Christianity provides. If you eject Christianity from the conservative movement, you've cut off the life blood of conservatism.

It boggles the mind the number of people who just love living in a society like the United States has that is the fruit of Christian thinking, who are willing to trash the very foundation of that fruit.

You can't have it both ways. You want conservatism? It comes part and parcel with Christianity.

You don't want Christianity? You'll end up with anarchy.

ABSOLUTELY . . .

Though I think anarchy is a temporary transition mode . . .

to abject horrific demonized slavery of the worst kind.

The stories of the globalist elites and their extensively conditioned, mind-controlled sex slaves etc. come to mind.

And after the anarchy, totalitarianism.

It’s inevitable.

There are conservative freepers of many religions, and none. The only ones that are bothered by the Judeo-Christian morality are people who do not like the morality part of conservatism.

The problem is that without morality, there is no such thing as conservatism.
