To put a point on it, I received a number of replies to the comment you are referring to but didn’t answer them because of the difficulties in sending. I think the libs are deliberately and viciously attacking us every weekend trying to weaken us(by us I mean FR). I would gladly donate extra if new equipment is needed. Running good today however.

Perhaps you missed this thread posted by our exalted leader....

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2405876/posts

Christians have not been “abducting” FR. It has always had a strong Christian influence, just like the Declaration of Indence and the Constitution and the Founding Faters.

You can’t separate conservatism and Christianity. Without Christian moral values to stand on, we are screwed. There is no other value system that provides the solid moral base that conservatism represents.

Oh, and IBTZ....

Just in case.....

Moral absolutes are universal and no believer of any religion would feel unwelcome here, other than Mohammedans, unless they wanted to learn something and not be a Mohammedan any more. Or at least not a believing, practicing one.

The main people who are uncomfortable here I’ve noticed lately are atheists, liberals, leftists, liber(al)tarians, secularists, hedonists, homosexualists and libertines.

Are you one of the above?

...unless that dampens one’s enthusiasm at freepathon time.

You mean atheists, muslims and other devil worshipers won't give money to a site influenced by Christianity? That's too bad. But I sincerely doubt your appeal to Jim will bring your desired results. I just can't see him selling his principles for your cash, much less his very soul. You're either very courageous, or very stupid.

Thank you. I have now signed on to FreeRepublic2 on yahoo. It does appear to be the correct forum. My link was incorrect.

I make my opinion known that I liked FR more in the early years when it was just a conservative site. I personally prefer specialization in my websites. There are Christian websites. There are conservative websites. There are smurf websites. Once again, I prefer they keep themselves separate.

That said, I am amazed at the insight of the non-judgmental crowd who apparently can determine my feelings toward Christianity and the inevitable destination of my soul in the afterlife due to my desire to segregate websites.

There’s always been a strong and fierce Christian element on FR.

Why do you think the Rel Forum was created?

It’s a service to all sides to keep the religious stuff in it’s own ‘room’ on FR.

My mistake. I thought you meant what you said. The only assumption I made was that you meant what you said, but I really should know better than to make that assumption about someone who complains about the presence of Christians.

I missed the post where someone claimed to determine the inevitable destination of your soul. Which post was that? Pardon me for not assuming you’re telling the truth about that. I’ll believe it when I see it.

Courtesy ping to Joya, whose post 71 you were talking about.

I didn’t see anything in that post that presumed anything about you which you hadn’t already announced to the world. But like you pointed out already, we shouldn’t assume you mean what you say.

Just in case you missed the first time I posed this link, here it is again. Or are you reading comprehension challenged?

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2405876/posts

According to JR himself, this is a Christian website. If you prefer a conservative website without Christianity, find one, if you can, and let us know about it. I’d be really curious if one exists.

Or you could always start your own and see how it goes.
