I don’t know if their original website is still up or not, but her family came from undergoing fertility treatments (with ovarian stimulating hormone injections and intrauterine insemination, not IVF). I remember being very touched (BTDT infertility thing) with her recollection of their first ultrasound, their fear as the number of fetuses (7) was counted, and knowing right away as Christians they would NOT choose selective reduction (aborting a certain amount of babies in a multiple pregnancy to increase the odds of survival in the remaining)—I’ve got a lot of respect for both Kate and Jon for NOT taking the convenient way out and killing several of their babies at that time!

We watched half an hour of the new show this year (first and only time). She couldn't figure out why her kids weren't able to drag a 50-ft. garden hose more than 50 feet.

Couldn't stop complaining about it either. You've got money, lady; go spend $20 on a longer hose.
