Thank you for the lesson..
I will have to disagree...

I think I saw some miracles being performed this last Saturday. Perhaps I am wrong.

But for this time I will have to follow the words of Jesus...
The Spirit can and does use the imperfect to do his will.
He has to...
Perhaps we should judge on the fruits produced.

Everything is God’s will. He uses who He uses for his purposes - for He is the potter and we are the clay.

God bless you my FRiend.

On what basis do you make this eval?

If Beck doesn't deviate from what a “true believing Mormon” believes, what then is Beck's ultimate hope per Mormon theology?

________________________________________________________

I didn't hear Beck say anything about “God in Embryo”, you said that. I didn't hear anything about “grown up into full God-Hood”, you said that. I didn't hear anything about ruling a world, you said that.

I think you said a lot of things that weren't said Saturday. What I heard on Saturday from Beck and others was about how important it was to turn to God, about how important it was to accept Jesus Christ. When Beck used the name Jesus Christ I didn't hear him say a Mormon Jesus Christ, just Jesus Christ.

I think your criticisms are misplaced.

You can say the Mormons worship a different God than you and a different Christ than you but they say they worship the Christ that died on Calvary for your sins and my sins. To me that is the same Christ and your accusations sound distasteful and ugly.

I suppose all of us that don't share your religious view are going to hell. I personally hope that the Good Lord has room in heaven for all the rest of us who are imperfect.

I don't really know that Beck is doing the best of his ability but I sure know that he is having a great deal of success and I realize that that kind of success does not come without a great effort.

Yes Jim Jones gathered 1,000 people. For you to compare the two gatherings to me tells me just how skewed your mind is against Mormons.

I don't look forward to the Mormon missionaries or the JW’s going door to door but I have a great deal of respect for their willingness to serve The Lord by doing it. It doesn't matter whether I agree or not, they believe it and have that faith and call on the name of Jesus Christ. There is only one Jesus Christ. Everybody that believes in Him, that worships Him makes mistakes and misunderstands things about Him and His ministry. If we all did as good as the Mormons and JW’s that tireless work to serve him we would all be a lot better.

I think you should be ashamed at your attitude towards these hard working, God fearing, Lord serving people. I wonder just what they did to you to make you hate so strongly people that are trying to serve their God.

You're very kind. But, it would be wrong of me not to say one more thing.
I feel badly that I gave you the impression that the one true God is up to you to decide. Not decide; find. You don't get to decide who God is. No one does. He's God and we are priviledged to be given the opportunity to know Him.

I believe in the Bible and in Jesus not just as my savior but as Lord of my life.
I have heard so many wonderful personal stories how people came to know Jesus that I could never assume to say or tell anyone how they will come to know Him. All I can do is point in His direction and tell you to seek. You will find. You don't have to clean yourself up first to find Him. Don't think you have to stop smoking or stop gambling or stop..whatever. God changes us; inside and out.
Would be more than happy to talk more about this; with an open mind. Let me know.

You don’t sound picky.

Actually, I am very picky. I want the revival that God wants.

Beck DID tell those people Mormon Doctrine, using Mormon phrases, though.

The poster is correct.

I’m sorry, I watched the entire rally.
I watch his show.

Could you please reference with a link where Glenn quoted Mormon doctrine?

That poster from your “Post 11” has some serious Mormon Derangement Syndrome.

Listening to any of the people who hang out on Mormon threads, cutting and pasting the same tired things and picking at posters until they explode, is like listening to Katie Couric about Sarah Palin. (and just to let you know, I’m not Mormon, but I’ve seen it and was taken aback)

You know that I respect you immensely, but I would never let one of those people explain the motives of any Mormon to me. Without medication, their disorder runs wild.

I am not former Mormon myself, but I have studied it extensively, and what post 11 said, Beck's reference to people here who had the faith that Christ had, that is a reference to Mormon doctrine that Jesus came HERE to the Continental US to preach and that people HERE became Christians DIRECTLY under Jesus Christ after His resurrection to Heaven.

It is a part of the Mormon fallacy. it is a lie. It is a direct contradiction to the Bible and part of Mormon mythology, they teach their adherents that there was a race of people living here, and some became Indians, who were believers in Jesus Christ 1900 years ago or more.

The Book of Mormon claims that an entire civilization existed here in walled cities and great civilization, separate from most Indians but clearly as great as Rome once was for all practical purposes.

That is why people copy and paste the ORIGINAL statements of the Mormon Church because modern day mormons NEED to know where their false religion came from.

Okay, so let’s say that you have Beck’s intentions down.
The Rabbi that spoke didn’t sing about Jesus either. So should we turn it all off? It wasn’t even about Christian teachings, otherwise the Jews would have been left out.

If you let Beck’s Mormon religion get in the way of the message to “Turn to God” honestly, you are losing out on something wonderful.

Me, Beck’s religion is between him and God. As long as he is not asking me to be a Mormon, I don’t care.

Oh, and there is a lot more than Mormon statements being cut and pasted. They are NASTY with the self-righteous jokes and name calling. There is a group there and a group for the Catholics.

Honestly, my FRiend, I wouldn’t attach my wagon to those that perform “Slash and Burn Evangelism”.

It’s about truth

and that rally was NOT about God’s truth, it was about an ecumenism that dilutes truth

And, You’re right, I would disagree with any Rabbi , however, I respect the Rabbi because Jews are God’s chosen people, while Mormons call ME and YOU apostates who never knew the truth.

The Bible says that ALL are apostate until they receive Jesus Christ as their saviour, Jews, Gentiles alike, but Mormons believe they can baptise you into their faith when you are dead, that God was once a man, that God literally had sex with a woman to produce Jesus in bodly form...the list goes on.

The Jewish Faith still sticks to the Bible, we just dont believe the same in that they deny the New Testament.

Mormons believe they need a NEW Bible, the Original Bible is not good enough.

There’s lots of stuff that set off alarms about Mormonism, and Beck’s statements on the previous civilizations living here that were supposed to be Christians is something that he expects us to believe as established fact when it is established falsehood by all archaelogists, including Mormon ones.

So, basically, Beck is telling us the beliefs of his false religion and is encouraging us to fall in line with hhis false version of Christianity.

NO, WE ARE NOT supposed to wink at that just to lower spending or whatever.

If we dont hold to the truth, we are doomed as a nation. And good intentions are not enough.

How do you feel about the opening prayer being addressed to 'gods'?
When Smithian fictional history of this continent is refrenced by Beck during the beginning of the program (started at about minute three in the tape) what purpose do you suppose that false history served?
Beck's religion is founded upon the premise that ALL of Christianity (including Catholicism) was in 100% apostasy prior to Joseph Smith coming to 're-establish Christianity for Christ', yet Beck is touting the Christian founding of this nation even though his own religion didn't come into existence until the 1830s. How do you reconcile that contradiction in your mind? ...

And just asserting that I suffer from 'mormon derangement syndrome' is not an answer to any of the three questions posed which go directly to the 'efficacy' of the rally.

Oh, and while were at it, how do you feel about a taqiyya practicing Islamicist being included in the black robed brigade?

I will stand with the Rabbis when it comes to Beck’s rally.

They knew that Beck wasn’t turning anyone to Mormonism, and expected him to keep HIS faith quiet (for the whole three minutes he said something in that 3hr rally, which was lost on people like me who know nothing) It’s playing into the hands of the libs. If one’s MDS is so bad that one sees NOTHING good in that rally because Beck at HIS rally talked about HIS faith, I find that sad. His actions spoke to me about God. My God.

Please understand that these are the conservatives that the MSM seek out. The ones they find to bash something good. They see the needle and avoid the haystack.

We just have to agree to disagree.

Your smug condescension not withstanding, if you want to watch something really good from the rally, watch the following links. But try to stop being so juvenile as to stamp any opposition to Beck's slide into mormonism as evidence of mormon derangement syndrome ... you ain't qualified to identify a 'syndrome' and apparently don't care what heresies are foundational to Mormonism:

Youtube of Beck’s long monologue toward the end of the rally, excellent speech, all of it! Very patriotic:
