Visualize a huge (7-12 foot) alligator coming to the top of the water thrashing and rolling. A man has a hold on the line that the hook and alligator are on. These alligators are ranging from 500- 1,000+ pounds. The fight between man and alligator is breathtaking to me.

Loved it, I’m hooked.
I know some swamp people, they have a few spots to take invading muslims..welcome to the swamp ..
nothing like cruising up a Florida river in the back woods and seeing 10 gators piled on each other like logs, imagine the mooselimb invader meat they could handle..
Southern deep fried, or baked, with some cajun seasonings, gaaaawranteed..
Hate to say it but Billy the Exterminator, American Pickers and now Swamp People are my favorite shows. Funny, I have no idea what the “Network” shows are. Between NFL and Discovery, I have no additional TV viewing pattern.
Watching it on my DVR right now. Great program!
I used to watch American Pickers, but how many times can you watch guys make a big fuss over buying rusty old signs and oil cans on which they make maybe a $50 profit?
Am I the only one that remembers when they used to have history on the History Channel?
LOL..well it’s kind of like alligator hunting history in the modern age.
Seriously, my husband is/was a fan of the History Channel and has lamented the same thing.
I remember when it was the History channel. Then they went to the space aliens channel and area 51, the flying saucers, then they went to the Green channel with all of their disaster shows,The world flooding Earth withoug humans, funny everything was left alive but humans, like that could happen, now they are on the reality kick.
I do like the Pawn shop and Pickers though.
We’ve been waiting for some more Billy the spider man.....
I’ll confess that I like Pawn Stars as well, but Pickers leaves me cold. As someone else pointed out, how many times can you get thrilled at a $10 profit on a rusty sign? History Channel used to be my evening refuge, but many nights nothing on it interests me anymore.
Burt’s chewing gum should be nominated for best supporting actor.
The wife and I watched all the episodes of Pickers and Swamp People yesterday. They are just funny and interesting on so many levels. They also start great conversations between us. I like the shows but I also understand they are not everybody’s cup of tea.
As to the History Channel in general, I can recall when everybody on this forum was calling it the Hitler Channel and complaining. I’d love to see more real history programs of every type but the problem is they might not draw the eyeballs it takes to get sponsors to pay the bills.
One channel up on the Comcast dial, there was one of those phony lost-in the-wild shows, set in Australia. It was fun to flip back and forth, seeing gators dispatched with a head shot here, and watching some phony run for his life over there.
It was more fun than watching the Beckel brothers on Hannity, juxtaposed with Discovery’s episode on cosmic collisions.
They ran out of history and have bumped into reality TV.
I see Billy regularly around town.
Nice as can be.
