You just know there would be a few liberals looking for a “free ride” to a new planet. So much for a liberal free existence on an alien planet.
If they are Class M planets, Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock will beam down to investigate.

But then again even if we could get there now, my wife wouldn’t let me keep one.
If we had taken the tens of billions that we’ve spent on “social programs,” and instead used it to fund research into space travel, as opposed to wasting it an attempt to bring segments of the population up to a minimum level of civilization...Mars would probably be an option right now.
