The same thing happened to me a number of years ago at Water Tower Place in Chicago. My fellow movie goers that day were mostly young black people, and I really didn’t think anything of it at first. But when the movie started, there was a constant chatter from the audience which made it difficult to hear. I must say that it was a disappointment.
Some relatives of mine attended a movie at Landover Mall in Maryland, before it was torn down. There too, their fellow movie goers were mostly black. And my relatives commented on how the theater was so dirty and unkempt. They said seats were torn out of the floor, and other seats had the stuffing torn out so just the springs were still attached to the frame of the seats. They decided never to go back there. And for those of you familiar with Landover Mall, you know that eventually most retailers left the mall, and it was eventually torn down due to lack of business.
