But still... there’s got to be a reason why the headlines are filled with instances of trouble with this breed. When was the last time there was a headline “Toddler mauled by toy poodle”?

Prior to putting this up, I did a search last night for animal attacks/killings/maulings....gotta tell you. There were an enormous amount of OTHER breeds included in there.

I’ve NEVER owned a pit...never been around one...but I don’t like the bad press they ARE getting...

I REALLY detest what the “macho-men” who use this breed for fighting, have done to them, therefore GIVING them the bad press.

I don’t know that pits are necessarily a bad breed, but like many things that can be used as weapons they’re owned by bad people. The difference, though, is that a weapon requires an operator. Not so with a dog.

“But still... there’s got to be a reason why the headlines are filled with instances of trouble with this breed.”

The reason is that news departments are leftist propaganda outlets. They partner with various movements to empower the left. To further their ends they highlight some stories and bury others. This is why it’s news when a homosexual gets killed or a black guy is assaulted by whites.

The leftist movement behind anti-Pit Bull stories is the animal rights movement.

The animal rights movement (despite it’s name) has a goal of the extinction of domestic animals. Toward that end they try to make it harder to own (pets and farm), use for science or engage in activities with animals. They use the government to further their aims.

If they can scare enough people, the government they will be empowered to take away property rights because animals are legally property.
