STATESVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- Authorities say a man who was waiting with several friends for a "ghost train" from a North Carolina legend was killed when a real train came down the tracks.

This is sad.
On all of my ghost train hunting expititions i have been realllly lucky this has never happened to me.
Especially since i usually have my i-pod cranking in my ears while i hunt on the tracks.

The kinda ironic thing is, every year, on the anniversary of this poor guy’s death, people will gather at the trestle to see if his ghost shows up.

I read a Clive Cussler book a while ago where a Ghost train was part of the plot.
In that book the US was also bankrupt.
I wonder if there is a connection here somewhere....

I suppose one would use the same logic as a human ghost.

Wouldn’t it be just as easy to search for a Ghost train on the SIDE of the tracks?

My thought exactly. I can’t feel sorry for this guy. You do have SOME responsibility to make sure you stay alive by not doing idiotic stuff.
