Don't like the idea of Windows potentially being able to look at all my private info. Thoughts on a good email client that would work with Windows 7?
See all the complaints about Thunderbird 3 here:

Suggest you research the dealings between Google, it’s executives and this administration and their clear support of the nanny state agenda.
Everything you do in Google apps is cataloged and reported - you can be sure of it.
If you care about your privacy you will dump Google.
There is a decent email client. It is called PocoMail. Check it you...bet you like it a lot.

btw...i am also using inbox.com for public email address...works great and is fast.
I just get tired of downloading security updates for Outlook. In the past year, I have yet to download one security update for Thunderbird, none needed. Outlook 2010 might be the most secure software in the world, but with it’s reputation, why take a chance?
I use Windows Live and have had no problems with it. Hotmail and POP mail in one program.
Remember pgp? Still works great!
Besides all your email belong to us! You have no privacy whether you are on with Google or not, so you might as well take advantage of the free stuff.
2.1 Eudora OSE 1.0rc1 (2 July 2010)
Other than that, Windows Live Mail and Thunderbird are about your only choices, if you want an email program that is installed on your computer. (eg if you want to be able to download and then read your email when off line)
Thunderbird. PGP.
gmail is the only way to go.
My email client from my internet provider is strictly for collecting dust.
The new Eudora is a relabeled version of Thunderbird.
Why would anyone trust Google with all of their personal email? Use a local client.
The wine, right? LOL
If I cared that much about my privacy I would only send and receive encrypted emails, would hide behind a proxy to obfuscate my ISP location, would use Grecian Formula to darken my hair and adopt a fake name on FreeRepublic.
Otherwise I don't have any real problem with Google. For reasons I don't fully understand though, they seem to present me with an inordinate number of advertisements for girls dance wear, body stockings, Danskins, etc. Some glitch apparently.
with all those ads...sounds like your posing about something...LOL
?
I’ve used Mozilla Thunderbird for many years now. Great software.
Hey, in New Hampshire it gets cold starting about now. And I have circulation problems. Couple times a year I go online and shop for leg warmers. Is that a problem?
