Cruelty to animals should have a bigger fine than $100.
94? Heck, it’s 102 here. Them dumb*sses will stand in direct sunshine with no breeze.
Animal cruelty shouldn't include putting your groceries in your trunk. A '95 degree' trunk doesn't seem all that excessive in temperature for the middle of June. But the image included in an earlier story gives us a clue as to what animal control authorities think is an acceptable transit condition:
A shame none of those reporters who took pictures of the goat trapped in an animal control steel box happened to bring a thermometer with them to tell us just how warm that tiny space the goat was shoved into by authorities was, containment that likely lasted longer than the car ride that the goat had in the trunk, yet is apparently fine free for them to do it, don't you dare do it yourself. Add insult to injury, this is a drunk driving checkpoint, AKA, open season to search without probable cause any vehicle which would normally require probable cause to pull it over.
Oh and someone's dinner was stolen in the process, and gosh, you get to pay a hundred bucks for the privilege.
