“If they are not prescribed for everything, then an attorney will sue the non-prescriber for not prescribing.”
There is no coincidence that antibiotic resistant TB comes from the third world, and this new one comes from India.
Generally, people in first world countries will take a full course of antibiotics when needed.
In Mexico, many antibiotics are available over the counter.
The answer to this problem is one that the world is not prepared to hear.
Invent new antibiotics, and don’t share them with the third world, or possibly anyone. If you do, you assure their ineffectiveness over time.
Don’t allow third world visitors or immigrants without a medical exam/quarantine period, and expedited return when anything questionable is found.
There is no reason for “world travel” to make disease spread a sure thing - this is something liberals like to propagate so that the first world gets to experience all the joys of third world living, from time-to-time.
When a new disease becomes impossible to cure it will arrive in the US via a leaky border.
