I think you've hit the nail on the head.

As an observer to multiple hospital stays and the cleaning practices on the personnel, it's my opinion that too much reliance is placed on the spray bottle antiseptic. Good old sanitary and antiseptic scrubbing and wiping are things of the past.
An orderly comes in, squirts his little bottle, gives the toilet seat the once over and walks out.
Last time I was admitted to a hospital room there was bandage wrappers under the bed.

Agreed, I’ve had hospital stays in the past. I see how they clean. I also re-cleaned my son’s room with bleach after it was ahem... “cleaned”... by the hospital staff.
