Far far left newspapers like the Saint Petersburg Times try doing their veiled hit pieces on conservative commentators, but most of us are smart enough to realize that the intended target(in this case Glenn Beck) is not the real target, the target is you and I - which he doesn't really try to hide anyways. The ruling class media and ruling class fifth columnists like daniel ruth go too far with their disrespect for us and then turn around and wonder why nobody trusts newspapers anymore and why they are dying on the vine. The smear piece in question can be found here:
'Honor' is big moneymaker for the dishonorable
So let's start with the St Pete Slimes' own website - The Times History page
According to the slimes themselves:
The Times grew and improved, moving to twice-weekly publication in 1907 and six days a week in 1912. But it never prospered as a business. Responding to Straubs ad in a trade journal, Indiana publisher Paul Poynter bought the paper in September 1912 and set about improving it
It was the Poynters who finally made it work in a big way. Specifically Nelson Poynter. Who was Nelson Poynter?
"Glenn Beck": FDR and the Progressive Playbook
FDR actually would pressure reporters to change their stories. He would he would go in to people's office and say, what are you working on? And the reporter would be there in the White House and he said, oh, Mr. President, I'm working on this. And he would sit down with them and say, hmm, can I make a suggestion? I mean, if I were you, I'd I might take a different angle on that.
They got the message, most times, they'd change the story. Hollywood always had to change everything. I mean, every script went through the Office of War Office of War Information, the brains trust. It went right through their hands.
Nelson Poynter, he was the guy who looked at everything. It had to it had to be approved. Every word about America every word about the government had to be approved. It was common practice common practice for them to change the Hollywood scripts.
Nelson Poynter was a part of FDR's brain trust. Being a part of the office of war, he learned a lot about the ways of propaganda, I'm sure.
Via watchglennbeck.com, the second half of the may 26th show and the may 27th show is where all this information is at and is laid out.(the link to foxnews is the same thing, just in transcript form instead of video)
Frankendodd's Financial Reform
So there you have it. I'd bet every newspaper in america has a story like this in one way or another. Why do newspapers get so ideological and vitriolic towards those of us who aren't in the ruling class like themselves? In the case of the Saint Petersburg Times, it's in their bloodstream. For every question, there is an answer. At least this time the answer has become easy to unearth.
We can and will defeat the journalist chattering class.
We must defeat them. Progressive governance cannot survive without it's propaganda arm.(or arms. More like tentacles)
I agree, it is just space filler, but I’m totally done with this abuse. Government abuses the people and the media abuses the truth.
SPT used to be a good paper(best in Fl). Just open up the Orlando Sentinel for the worst liberal tripe.
They may have been better at hiding it in the past.
But with the influence of Poynter at the helm, they were then and still are now a left wing progressive paper.
Heh!
